DC_D and I discussed this recently. The counterattack rule is at least as old as Kalarsys. A while back I found a Kalarsys 0.1 book floating around, and, indeed, the rule is in there, (basically) unchanged:
The RFX (Reflex) stat no longer exists, but aside from that, the arbitrary number of EVA 6's is there. Here's the current rule:
What the hell? Oh, I forgot to put it in when I re-wrote the Combat section. Personally, I don't have a problem excluding it. Do we really need it? What do you guys think?

OH MUH GAWD! I'M POSTING ON THE BOARD AGAIN!! I've decided to take a break from Pokemon Silver (see this: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqSDiG5E6v1cdDl6ZHJHbFluNlJOTGRDWG0xVzEzYVE&hl=en_US#gid=1) and I've begun working on the Kalarsys book again. I've rewritten the Introduction, and I'm excited to have you all read it. But first, I have a question about the layout of the book. I think I should move all of the big tables (Abilities, Flaws, Example Equipment, etc.) to an appendix at the back of the book. Small tables like the Trine table and the new Magic table can stay where they are as they clarify the rules they are near, but the big tables are chopping up the book too much, I think. What do you guys think of that?
