Maybe like a Vampire:The Masquarade rip-off would work

That stupid-ass Vampire Genocide thread of mine took off. Simple premise. Vampires vs Hunters basically...

According to Vampire: the Masquerade they have their own form of government that requires the prince of each city to keep tabs on all the vampires he rules over. Of course, there are those that rule over the prince. That is only the Camarilla. There's also the Sabbat, who beleive contrary to the Camarilla. Cam-cams think that vampires should be kept secret. The Sabbat beleive that since they are damned anyway, they have nothing to fear and flaunt their supernatural powes and kill as they please.

we can't just keep to vamps though. Ever get teleported to modern times playing d&D? IGnorance of the world makes modern roleplaying all the better.
- "...You were walking down the stone path and you were attacked by what seemed to be a metal dragon! (a.k.a. 'car')..."
Ever seen a ranger with a 9mm Baretta? Or a kender "acquire" a hand grenade? It's some neat stuff.

Wouldn't it be awesome to see characters from D&D discover weed? No, I don't mean like "its in your backyard and it's soaking up all the nutrients and is killing your lovely flowers" weed. I mean like this kind, the "light it on fire and you go into a surene state of mind" weed.

I had some friends who tried it out only it was like their charcters playing them in a game called "Dweebs & Dipshits". I guess it was fun until they figured out they were playing their lives and it began to suck.
However, Playing certain chronicles in Vampire, you can end up with a 1000 year-old Ventrue elder, that ends up dystroying a cell phone (a rock enchanted by evil Tremere magics) and getting killed by a gang of shovelheads (new not-quite vampires) beating him with clubs and such. Imagine being on an elevator, as a friend of mine had happen, and he though each floor ws entirely different world.
