It has a better implementation of Javascript, making Javascript run faster than most other browsers. Each tab is its own process, so if one crashes, generally the browser will continue to function.
Did you try Firefox 3.5? Right now it's using about 60MB right now, but I don't have much open. Firefox tends to keep a cache of previously-visited sites so that you can go back and forward faster. You're not the first to complain about it, and I really wish there was a way to adjust it easily. :-p

Well, I decided to check out Chrome again, and it is really fast. I like it, except that I'm missing my Adblock Plus plugin from Firefox. :-p
I now have four web browsers downloaded on my Windows partition: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Chrome. I have even more different browsers in Linux. XD

Oh, and if you drag a tab out of Chome and drop it outside of the browser window, it'll create a new browser window with that tab. Just try it, you'll see what I mean. Firefox 3.5 totally stole this feature. Apparently Opera does it, too.

FINALLY someone made a portable version of Chrome. The portable version of Firefox is too big (go figure). Opera is generally pretty good, but I think I'll try out Chrome and see how that goes.
