So while scavenging on the edges of the Kalarsys main stream a few years ago I began playing with the small group I would later call "The Outsiders" it wasn't pretty, it wasn't perfect, but it was better than simply hanging in limbo. We made up quite a few "house rules" even to the point where I (yes even I) wanted to stop playing the game because of all the munchkinizing. Even so we struggled on playing and coming up with new ideas and playing them out. Not all of them were good, hell most of them took the systems, and rules (the ones I had anyway) and streched them to the breaking point. I probobly would have been slapped/shot by many of you for allowing it to happen... but some weren't that bad. I make this thread to showcase the not so blunderous treks into the forays of Limbo.
First up is a sort of refining pertaining to the Vampires. Up until that point I had a book that mentioned vampires but had no actual system for it as far as I knew anyway. so we took what we knew about vampire lore and experimented a bit and came up with a working system for it. We started with the basic character sheet gave them nutrition to use their unique abillities and then gave them a three point graph and four points to spend in it. Catagorizied as Psycic, Transform, and Blood Magic.
Psycic gave the abillities of telekinesis and telepathy going so far as to be able to control your enemies if you used it properly at a high enough level. Transform allowed a vampire to change shape into a bat or wolf or at a high enough level a highbred between a human and those animals. Blood Magic was originally used like an eidolons lucid spells but eventually evovled into giving a vampire faster healing, increased strength, and superhuman speed for short bursts of time even going so far as to allow (at great risk to the vampire) the abillity to step into and walk in the space between moments.
Still munkinized? yes probobly but with a little refining and retooling I see no reason why it couldn't have worked out. well til next time...
