Uncle Figgy's Guides

[Lurid Sorcerer]

I don't have the faintest clue who Uncle Figgy is, but I've been reading his guides on role-playing games and I think we could all benefit from a good reading of them.

I don't want to single anyone out here, but as I read through I can easily point out things we've all done that go contrary to what he suggests and, because of this, detract from the fun of the game. Personally I have come across many a face-palm moment during my perusal.

i glanced threw it all, and its all pretty good, i got threw the first two but that pdf is long...still its really good stuff i think should be mandatory like you said <.<

Hmm, I was sort of hoping more people would have read them and commented...

roleplayingtips.com is another great resource for role-playing game information and Game Master tips. They have a weekly news letter, and all of their previous issues (nearly 500 of them) are stored in their archive.

I saved it onto my desktop so I can read them now at any time! Though long, it's insightful. And you're right Lurid, it should be mandatory to read it (it's a fun read anyway).

defently a fun read. we should get gmidge to read this. he could use the awesome guidence that uncle figgyhas to offer. maybe we should gently hint he HAS to read this lol. but wow i love how in the introduction for beginers he comments on parents being conserned for thier children. lol.
