Ok so i specifically asked DC if i could do the calender. And as usually he had to dabble and help... uggg. anyways currently there are 9 months thinking of going to ten. the days of the week are Latin terms for different colors. and DC came up with the month names on his own. We should be posting this soon. also we need to compile important dates and birthdays.
also unrelated to the calender we have come up with the races gestational period. ^.^

Even in the Middle Ages, there were festivals to mark the change of seasons, although there was never a date set in stone up until a few centuries ago. So maybe something like that should go in.
Holidays and special days of observances for each race, "birthdays" for religious figures...
And of course, Zain & Zack's birthdays, and the day that represents the inevitable clash between the two.
Great idea! My only question is, how many days will be given to a month? Will some months be much longer than others?

As it stands right now... there are a range of 19 to 22 days a month...

Hmmm....
(Phid) Festival of the Moon
Need calendar for actual date, but First full moon of the harvest season
Celebrated to honor great warriors of old and to bring good luck for this years crops and fishing season.
Procedure: 10 maidens (two from each race beside shade because of the Chronicles) stand on a stage set up on a beach. The Phid Maidens sing a Duet and then each Maiden picks a champion whom they spend the majority of the Festival with and they drink a gold potion which serves no real propose then a symbol of good luck and Fertility. Then singing and dancing on the beach which everyone is invited that lasts long into the night. Also a side note: Most maidens and champions spent the night together (Cough Cough) and most maidens and champions end up as couples or spouses.

Okay after some thought I came up with one for those that are called Ishmael.... the Rorosha....
Feast of the Hunters: Date: varies but usually starts around the first days of summer. This Feast observed to honor the most brillant of weapon crafters of their race are filled with much eating and drinking. A contest begins on the first day the hunter's in training pair up one to make weapons and one to make armour. They select a warrior from the other rorosha and together the three go out to a hunt that lasts for three days each team gathering the materials needed to create their powerful items. when it is over they have another three days to apply all that they have learned into creating the weapons and armour that their warrior will wear and use in a tournament. This is to show the master craftsmen where the talent lies so they may pick their apprentices wisely. The final day consists of a fabulous display of skill where the masters bring out their finest works to show the world. While each tribe has differed in their styles and locations all will obseve this festival because who doesn't love a good party.
