I'm glad we really didn't encounter situations like that in kalarsys! however it makes me wonder if it was because we never thought of the situation to put the players in or we (at the time) just werent that high quality of storytellers to incorporate such a situation.
By comparison to many D&D stories, our kalarsys story were like barney episodes... we really never made the characters question their own decisions or beliefs... let alone each other. I guess we all played way to much final fantasy were the story followed a straight path of ultimately defeating the bad guy.
Well, as much as he says to avoid this situation from a DM point of view...... I am willing to throw this situation at my players because I do believe in its importance to see exactly what kind of people my players are... and to see if they can stay true to their characters and not play out of character beliefs in game.
