Hello everyone, I have taken on the duty of creating a spell book for the humans of the kalarsys realm. Of course since the begining of kalarsys its always been that Eidolons would always be the only magical creatures in this game. But it appears that that that is no longer the truth in this world. Humans have now gained the abillity to use magic.
This leads me to a problem or two....
1.) Whats spells could be used...
2.) how would it differ from being an Eidolon...
I have thought long and hard about this, and have come up with a way to seperate the to without lending to much to one side and not enough to the other...
I thought about editing the Eidolons a little bit... nothing that would change any calculated equations...
This change would create more thought into not only what character you would want to make, but to the points you use in making them...
I suggested that the number of points on the eidolons graph is the number of times he/she can use that spell per day, and he/she can use his/her mp to boost it's effectiveness.
Where as a human's spell book can be used limitless, but the spells are not stat based and considerably weaker. not to metion and Human mage would have to use an action to prepare the spell... and would have to use an action to prepare a different spell if he/she decides to change spells... also along with this... " lets say you dodge an attack(-1 action) and on your turn you go to prepare a spell."
1.) you will not be able to cast the spell on your current turn.
2.) when attacked again, you cannot dodge enless you want to have to reprepare the spell, and if you take the hit, you would have to roll CON and get at least have the sucesses of what you took in dmg ( 4 dmg = 2 CON sucesses necessary.) and if the attack causes you to have to roll your system shock, you automatically have to reprepare the spell.
As for the types of spell for the book I have yet to come up with something concrete. So if you have any comments or ideas please post them here.
