Eidolon Book, and How You Can Help

Ok... i've been out of this far to long. now I guess is the time to finally throw my thoughts on to the page.

1.) When we say mars....i'm not quite sure we're talking about present day mars... more like a replica of earth.... with water, air, ect.
2.) as for there "elemental" abilities..I say they have none... if mars was left at our present day condition.. such element essences would be so weak that they would be almost none exsistant. with that having been said their so called "elemental" magics should revolve around the two main "elements" that not only exsist on mars in great quantaties, but also on earth in great quantaties. that ladies and gentlemen would be the phenomenons known as darkness and light. No longer shall these beings play with fire as if a mere toy, but instead shall control the essence darkness and light. ( not to be confused with good or evil)
3.) when i think of this race being sent to earth by the strength of the planet alone.. I think of the lunar cry (Final Fantasy VIII) where everything ( people and creature) fell from mars.
4.) if we really want to make this even more unique... do not use there magics as fireball-like projectiles... or stat effector... thats an eidolons trademark... instead have there magic take form of weapons that they weild... ( bound armour, dagger. ect from elder scroll series.)
5.) another thing... with this new race trying to send souls to mars to replenish is lack of energies... whats stopping the earth from just continuing its natural " cycle of souls" ( sound familiar?). this is were i believe the true rivalry between eidolons and (insert race name here) exsist. Eidolons try to maintain a natural order dictated by the planet earth. Meanwhile the enemy for this new race really isn't dirctly the eidolons but the planet itself. with the planet earth crippled as mars is currently. then there would be no stop the lingering souls of the departed from being taken to another planet.
6.) as for creatures... i'd say to keep it simple... cold blooded replites... mars in alot farther frome the sun than earth and should be effected temperature wise.( not sure if thats scientifically true or not.) as for anything else... look into mythologies for horrific abominations. like mydusa or the minotar... things that where told long ago to be feared.... lores are only half false anyways.
7.) in the end, the vs. would most likely be... (new race) vs. planet/ eidolons... and seeing as though humans (surprisingly enough) are part of the planet to it would also be (new race) vs. humans...now of course.. i'm not saying that it should be like this all the time... you may find humans that want the planet dead.. or a corrupt eidolon. the choices are truely endless.. which in and of itself are the truely beautiful characteristics of this game.

Okay, here's my thoughts:

1.) I think, along the lines DC_D brought up, that they should have landed and destroyed a planet more similar to Earth, not modern-day Mars. This would allow us to make up more stuff in our ad-hoc Kalarsys universe without worrying about conflicts with our modern-day universe.

2.) They should have some abilities related to...dirt. Maybe they should be able to soften/harden soil and rocks. This could help them with burrowing abilities. This will make them more easily able to build homes similar to the ones they made on "Mars." Obviously, they wouldn't have this magic when they landed on "Mars," but the planet may see that they prefer to live underground, and give them the ability to build homes more easily on Earth.

3.) Just to clarify, Mars is dead, right? And their objective is to keep the Martian animals alive and multiplying? They should have some powers related to them. Summoning was mentioned, and sounds like a good choice. In fact, eidolon summoning isn't very well...uh, defined. So maybe we should work on that or allow only grottars to have it.

4.a) If they're trying to revive Mars, they should have some ability to force energy to Mars instead of having it loop back to Earth. This could probably be done with a spell like Soul Trap from Oblivion: Cast it on someone, and when they're killed, the energy goes to Mars instead of back to Earth.

4.b) So, if it's going to work like this, why not just ruthlessly slaughter all the humans? There has to be more to this, causing them to only kill so much, kill a certain type, or just not kill at all and get the energy some other way. I guess what I mean is how are they going to get the energy (provided they're going to revive Mars)?

1. well..exactly how alike earth are we goin here? and like i said we should make a diffrent planet as in create our own so we cant have people goin "well mars is like this" and so we can say "well fuck you this isnt mars"

3. summonings alright buut..would we allow summoned animals able to reproduce? or..whats up with that cause cant really make summoning the soul reasons the animals are alive...could we?

5b. well couldnt the earth interfere with them trying to do that to the inhabitants on earth? just a thought

ok Mars is not dead just dieing.. it uses the last of its strength to hurl the grottar and animals. Mars however is still alive and has powers, it just needs alot of time to heal.
i think Mars should be able to heal itself rather than this send soul thing...
but if we are going to do the send soul thing then definatly like a shiz said with soul trap.. they put all these souls in a big gem or rock or sumthing...
and if we are doing the soul thing then ya they could just slaughter humans and ya zain Earth can do something about it, its called asking eidilons for help.. like it already did.
