Guess what? ZW and myself were discussing Revorlet and trying to come up with a timeline of events and we decided it would be AWESOME to start playing the original game we had from there. You know, the one with Larissa, her big-ass sword, the reconstruction of Revorlet...etc.
Here's the deal: We need to know if the rest of you are interested. Shut up; I know we could just call you. The reason I want to do this over the message board is because we can get all of the information together here and then we all have access to it. Plus, it'll be harder to forget things if they're stored here.
There would be a lot of things done over. Basically we'd start over from the point where Floyd is dead, and no one knew what was to be accomplished next. Everyone split off and started doing their own thing.
ZW was Floyd, but he's going to have to make a new character. :-p DC_D was Dave, a cold-blooded mercenary type. Torke was Brad, a craftsman and archer. Perilaxis managed to kill all of his characters and he's not getting another chance. ^_^
We had a lot of music back then, mostly from Final Fantasy games and such. Spend some time thinking about the music you'd want to use for the game and let me know. I'll get it all together for us.
So what do you say, guys? Want to start it back up?

well. obviously im interested in it, i think the point we should start as is exactly when everyone split up, jack will be scratched because he really..didnt exsist back then to begin with, dave rebuilding Revorlet, brad with his dad in that little forest a day off from Revorlet, Larrisa (is up to Lurid), and ill find someone else to add in there that i prolly should have added in there before.
but nontheless we cant forget the few NPCs we "traveled" with at the start..Sylvia? the girl that ran off with the sword after Floyd went alittle nuts and leveled brad and tried to take dave out, and that one girl that hang around Dave..was her name Emily?..i cant remeber fully but that sounds right, but reminds me of the Emily from the Hotel whitigo session, i think those are the main ones..and Skiggy of course.
music wise? well...hm...cant say i wouldnt mind a few of the old classics, alot of the stuff we did use before the kalarsys drought was mostly shin megami tensei stuff, so really no full out requests or anything, mainly because weve had DDS shoved down our throats and most of the music from that feels new\futureistic compared to the others so really id prolly perfer the older stuff

I know I defently wasnt there for the sessions but i know of some old songs that could possibly work off of storys I heard from those sessions. Like apostrophe by frank zappa or maybe some some celtic songs. something old like that work ZW?

uh..frank zappa isnt exactly what i had in mind, and by old i ment more of the music we used back then, zelda stuff, ff, *cant really think of nameing any others off at the moment* mostly things like that, before we started useing any music with lyrics (Although i think im the one that started that, and possibly the only TS that ever did it <.< >.>)

I have a couple loose songs floating around, but that's most of it. Of course, I can get more stuff if people want it, but we want this all to fit on a single mp3 CD if possible. That would just make things so much easier.
I would also suggest checking out OCRemix.org. They have a shit-load of awesome video game remakes (very professional sounding, actually). I'm going to go through my collection and see what's good and what's...techno.

id keep hold of Devil Summoner (although i may be one of the only ones who like its excessive trumpet) and tactics would be a good one to use ^^; always liked tactics, the darkness is..way..to hardcore and dark for most sessions (still should keep cause we do have a select few its worthy of being in, gradius? thats random..pokemon?!...i expected it, golden axe?..cant remeber many songs..but yeah outside trying to analyze most of it, id stick with old school styles for Revorlet

I'm downloading about 6.5GB of OCRemix songs, and I remembered a remix project they did that I thought would be nice to use. There's a whole album of Chrono Trigger music all done with orchestra. I figured that might work nicely, so I'm getting that, too.
Bittorrent FTW!!
EDIT: Okay, I decided against that 6.5GB of OCRemix stuff, mostly because I didn't want to have to go through it all to pick out stuff that worked for the chronicle. I did, however find other stuff that works well, such as music by E.S. Posthumous. It's damn epic.

*thinks* yeah but all the cards happend after the rebuilding of Revorlet so i guess brad's dad being dead would be voided cause i know the card thing wouldnt happen (less lurid adds that back in) so i guess we really dont know brad's dad's status xD..

Yeah, we're basically going back to when everyone arrived home and restarting from there. As much as I liked the card thing, I don't know where I was going with that, and I'm throwing it out. As for the music, I guess what I need is for DC_D to post some of the stuff he'd like to see (hear?) on the soundtrack. Also, I've got some CD-Rs, so I'll probably use those to store the soundtrack on, as well as use my mp3 player flashdrive. Oh, and those two 3.2GB torrents are nothing compared to the whopping, 40GB torrent of Final Fantasy music I found.  |
