"Welcome, welcome, one and all."
I'm sure your wondering what the "M" and "L" in the thread title stand for. That my friends stands for Mythical and Legendary. Questions have asked if Kalarsys has its own magical weapons. I do not mean the sword that has a slight fire enchantment. We are talking about big things, I hate to reference D&D but they have magical items like the "Lamp of Three Wish", "The Holy Sword Avenger", and the legendary "Bag of Holding".
This is something that Kalarsys needs to add further depth and fun to the Dungeon crawling aspect of the game. For to long have kalarsys players only ventured into dungeons because of story plot and only to retrieve treasure that are also story plot. I'm currently accepting anything, weapons, armour, items, ect. I of course will be the acting filter to make sure items that are submitted are not too powerful, and as always there is a format for the items to be submited.
Ex: Format:
Name: Ragnorok Type: Great Sword Modifier: ACC-0 DMG+4 Effect: Ragnorok Carries the stats of a normal great sword until the sword recognizes the wielder as a suitable master. When The sword recognizes its master it takes on the properties listed above under Modifier. The sword will only submit to those who show that they are a worthy fighter. ( Kills: 30 people)
Myth/ Legend:....... blah blah blah... Zack Trable.... Blah Blah
Of course I hope that the Myths and Legends part is more in depth than listed above but i think it gives you the hint. Before anyone asks, yes you can make effects class/race specific, but i do ask if you go to do so, then add a second effect that is unbias.

While it's nice to have race/class specific weapons, this limits those weapons to TAC only. So think of special weapons that can go with the main rulebook as well, if you please. Please specify if it's for TAC, Corebook (and all it's subsets such as summoners, religions), or both.
Book: Both Name: Bow of Ney Type: Short Bow Modifier: ACC +6, DMG +2 Effect: Will only have ACC modifier for one shot a day, hit or miss (AKA 24 hours MUST pass first). It always retains the Damage Modifier. Limit: There is one bow for females, and one for males.
Myth: Ney, the Goddess of good sight. Archers often pray to her before battle to receive her blessings. Hunters also worship her in hopes of having a good hunt. Those who pray to her are required to leave behind a part of whatever they killed at her alter (be it human or animal) after the battle/hunt to complete the sacred ritual. Those that do not complete the ritual are said to have terrible misfortune visit them during their next battle/hunt. To reward her most loyal of followers, it is said that she crafted two special bows, one for females and one for males (to better fit their hands), and hid them deep inside her shrines. As Ney has many shrines to her name, no one knows which shrine(s) hold the bows. Whoever finds these bows would be considered the best archer/hunter, at least in Ney's eyes ('cause she's the Goddess of good sight? Get it?).
EDIT: I elaborated more on my myth to fit DC's rubric.

Book: TAC Name: Insanity's Edge type: changes though it always appears as a rusty short sword until some one takes it then it becomes any type of bladed weapon modifier: (base weapon type mod) Acc-1 Dam+2 Effect: Defenders can't use it Impact Blade: for all races/classes for 5 ether the edge becomes dull for a time (two turns) when ever you hit somthing while this is active Dam is doubled but becareful of the backlash Rend Void: Artorians only for double ether cost of 2h or dual wield you can create a pocket in the space between moments allows for seemingly instantaneous movement adds an extra action to your turn can only be used once safly in a day more than that it causes system shock (involving actual injury) Insanity's Edge: all. All remaining ether is spent, a last ditch effort, it allows the user to get back up even when it should be impossible for three turns they can take any amount of damage even unto the point of death to keep fighting they lose sight of friend and foe if its moving it gets attacked, but the blade gains and extra enhancement that allows the attack to be changed and redirected mid-swing making it more difficult to dodge or block. Legend: The blade was crafted by an anceient and powerful warrior whose name has been lost in history, The warrior travelled the lands far and wide across great seas and dark jungles. He fought in many battles and slew countless foes. His strength and skill with his blade are even today passed on through bards. Playwrites and poets alike hailing him a tragic hero. In one battle however he angered the mighty god of death Halaset. He killed a dauter of Halaset (a female with a direct bloodline to him). In the god's rage and fury he commanded a terrible madness to curse and haunt the warrior til the end of days. Demon's preyed upon the cursed soul and caused slaughter after slaughter til the blood and death were so thick even the rain and snow were tainted red with it. The hero's blade once a banner of hope and victory now only a nightmarish abomination reeking of decay and heralding destruction. Upon his death, a disgracful and bloody suicide, his cursed blood soaked the blade and Halaset took it up and placed it on his side. A seer foretold its return an end to peace and a beggining of great destruction. It is said that any who weild the blade will fall prey to the very curse that consumed the warrior who gave the blade form.....
And I don't know if we can post more than one but here I go Anyway....
Book: both Name: Ketsuki Zuta Type: long sword mod: Acc (base) Dam (base) Effect: It's serrated edge can cause a "bleed" effect Crimson: at the cost of three hp (does not have to be you own) you can launch a shockwave of blood deals str based damage Agony: Cost 3 hp. after stabbing your opponent the Agony skill causes their own blood to turn against them deals INT based dam Crucify: Cost 5 Hp. when blooded an enemy may be locked in position unable to do any thing (your WIL v their STR) and can then be used for cover or the cost of other techniques. (limit one) Transfusion: takes your own health and gives it to another via an attack (note it only give the health you spent after that it acts as regular damage) Myth: This sword has carved a bloody path through the pages of history. When it appears it carves itself a new name and favor the hands of vile beings. A hero it is said will eventually turn evil because of its influence. It was first given to a necromancer that struck a deal with a Demon of immense power. The blade itself carries that contract in blood and if it activates the wielder can gain power at the cost of their soul. One feat of power showed an entire army being struck down and in their place was an army of devilish creatures made entirely of the blood that tore itself away from the bodies of the soldiers, which then proceded to terrorize a kingdom for years before finally with the death of their dark king disappeared from exsistence. The sword has a mind of its own and can even call forth the image of its previous carrier to fight for with it just so it may feel the rush of killing again.

I'm very impressed with the flow of ideas already submitted. I also agree that the weapons should prolly state which book the weapon is available.... how however as I typed that it struck me that the thread is labled for TAC. It made me laugh a little... but its ok to say which book you want your weapons in.
It must also be said that I will be heavily moding perilaxis' suggestions. Do keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more weapons and items.

Here's a few
Sword Of Magi Book: TAC Mostly Short Sword (Acc+ 0) (Dam+2)
Ability: Instead of using Str to deal damage it draws upon the magical power of the wielder to deal damage. User rolls Int with damage mod. against enemy Will.
Note: The blade is made of a clear crystal
Myth: There was once an order of Mages said to be wise and very powerful. These mages known as the "Order of Magi". A key icon for this order is a curved they always carried as a symbol of belonging and honor. The order has all been disbanded by unknown reasons but there swords are rumored to hold their magic even today
Van Helsing's Crossbow Both
Crossbow (Acc+2) (Dam-Blot based)
Abilities *This legendary crossbow has a reloadable clip then can hold 6 bolts before needing to reload **It also deals + 3 damage to Evil creatures or beings
Myth: This Crossbow (Which I have renamed Demon Hunter's Crossbow) was used a famous Demon Hunter whose name has disappeared from the pages of history; however, his deed for stopping a blight of undead with this very bow will be remembered for ages to come.

Please rename your bow (and perhaps its modifiers), unless you can prove you're the creator of Van Helsing. Don't make me make a thread about plagiarism and copywright infringement. PLEASE.
With that said, I don't see why the Sword of Magi couldn't be used in both books, unless there's a race/class specific ability for it that you didn't specify.

Its soly up to the creator of the weapon were the weapon goes. I do see why the question would be raised as to why the sword would be more commonly to TAC then the core book. All I can say is that if the creator wishes it then who are we to disagree.
Has for the crossbow, YES, it must be renamed. The ability that the crossbow comes with really doesn't bother me.... and even if he doesn't change it, I, the human filter, will.

Myth/Legend: Long ago there was a young Eidolon boy by the name of Ragnell. This boy was born into a tribe that was believed to be pure evil. This of course was not true, but no matter how many times the tribe tried to claim innocence the tribe was shunned and stoned. Young Ragnell would often where a scarf around his mouth and cheeks to conceal his birthmark which was the symbol for their tribe. Ragnell embarked on a quest to learn the truth of what happen long ago to make his people to be hated so. Last records of him state that him was to journey to a forbidden island to learn the truth. All records of him end there. However it is believed that his will to conceal himself was so strong that him own energies enchanted the relic giving it the ability to hide the wearer identity.

Here's a quick question can there also be cursed items Items that look helpful but once active they curse the wearer
Example: Mask of Man Both Effect: When the Mask is put on it attaches to wearers face and makes him unrecognizable to friend and foe alike. Mask can only be removed by Death or dispelling the magic.
Basically who ever wears the mask loses their identity and basically becomes a human with no name.
